The search for a new Superintendent at Marysville Schools begins Thursday at 12:15 pm when the Board will hold a Special Meeting in the Central Board Office to discuss the process of hiring a new Superintendent. It was decided at last week’s regularly scheduled board meeting to have a special meeting within the next week and to also hire an interim Superintendent for the 2013-2014 school year since it is so late in the year to start a search for a permanent replacement of Khris Thexton, who resigned in April to take a job as Director of Finance, Operations, and Federal Programs at Great Bend Schools beginning July 1. Thexton has been Superintendent of Marysville Schools since 2009.
