Marshall County Transfer station free days next two Saturdays

A reminder that the Marshall County Transfer Station, located at 1545 Pheasant Rd, just outside of Home City, will be open this Saturday and next Saturday, May 11 for free county wide clean up days.  They’ll be open from 8 am to 3 pm both days. They will take residential waste, non-commercial construction and demolition material, scrap metal, appliances, refrigerators must have the freon removed and be tagged, and tires, which will be accepted with the normal disposal fee. They will not take wood pallets, commercial waste, animal carcasses, yard waste and debris, asbestos, and industrial waste. If you have any questions, please call the Marshall County Public Works Department at 785-562-5349.

Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY.
