The 2013 Marshall County Wheat Demonstration Plot Tour has been scheduled for Wednesday June 12 at 5:30 pm. In cooperation with Richard Holthaus of rural Axtell, the tour will be held a little over a mile north of Axtell on 30th Road. You’ll see 16 wheat varieties no-tilled into corn residue, including AgriPro’s Art, CJ, and Jackpot, Winterhawk, Oklahoma’s Ruby Lee and K-State’s 1863 and Everest. Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY.
