Nemaha County Sheriff’s Dept assists in pursuit

A pursuit that started in Platte County, Missouri ends in Nemaha County Saturday afternoon. It started with a report of a stolen pickup in Platte County, with 2 male suspects. Once they crossed the state line into Buchanan County, they traveled through Atchison, where police put spike strips down, however that didn’t stop them, it just took out the passenger side tires. From there, they traveled into Brown County on their rims, going through Horton and continuing westward until they got into Nemaha County, where they turned onto a country road, and eventually got stuck in the mud. 23 year old Trenton Wiseman was arrested there. The other suspect, Jacob Abney, age 29, fled on foot, but was caught about a mile away in a ravine. The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the pursuit, which hardly exceeded 60 mph.
