Marysville City Council held their regularly scheduled meeting Monday night with the newly elected council taking their oath and taking their seats. After the oaths were read, the council elected Wayne Price as President. In other business, 4 police car cameras were approved for a cost of just over $24,900, with installation included in that price. Mayor Bill Phillipi announced his appointments and there was only one change, that being the Municipal Judge, which will be Angie Hecke, with a salary of $705 per month. Also, a request to have SPRING CLEAN UP WEEK EXTENDED was approved! Beginning April 29th through May 3rd, City Crews will pick up tree limbs, leaves, yard debris, etc. Please place items curbside either bagged or boxed. In conjunction with the Spring Clean Up, City Brush Dump hours will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday! Questions? 785-562-5331. Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY.
