Former Marysville Priest faces child abuse allegation

A former Marysville priest, Anthony Putti, who was assigned to St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and St. Malachy’s Catholic Church in Beattie from 2008 to 2010, faces an allegation of child abuse. It’s unknown when the abuse occurred and Putti denies the allegation. According to the Save Environment Coordinator of the Archdiocese of Kansas City, KS, they received a report of alleging abuse of a minor by Father Putti. He is currently a priest in India and has also served in Olathe and Leawood before coming to Marysville. He resigned in 2010 after admitting to sexual relations with an adult who requested privacy in the matter.
