Special Election to be held in Gage County

The Gage County Board of Supervisors have approved a resolution for a special election in which voters will decide whether or not a $5.64 million bond is needed to resurface 31 miles of Gage County blacktop roads with a special mail-in election on June 11. If voters approve the bond, a maximum of three cents per $100 of valuation would be added to the county’s levy that would be paid back over 10 years.  This would generate more than $200,000 per cent, which is based on the 2012-2013 Gage County valuation. Ballots will be mailed out the last week of May and must be returned to the county clerk’s office by 5 pm on June 11.
