Marysville Superintendent & Elementary Principal resign

Marysville Superintendent Khris Thexton has turned in his resignation to become the Director of Finance, operations, and federal programs in Great Bend.  He has been Superintendent here since 2009 and taught here from 1999-2004. Marysville Elementary Principal, Sherry Helus, who is in her first year here, turned in her resignation at the monthly school board meeting Wednesday night, effective at the end of the school year.  She has taken a job as the elementary principal in the Topeka Seaman School District.  Before coming to Marysville, Helus was a third grade teacher at West Elementary School in Wamego.

Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY. You can hear Kevin on daily news reports, as well as calling area high school football and basketball. Kevin lives in Marysville with his wife Melissa, and 4 children Brennen, Jacob, Bailee, and Joshua.
