City of Washington has open seats

There is an open seat on the Washington City Council effective May 6, 2013 through April 2017. To qualify you must be a registered voter and reside within the city limits of Washington. Mayor Ryan Kern is also seeking individuals interested in serving in various Mayoral-appointed positions within the City of Washington. To be qualified you must reside within the city limits of Washington. The following positions are open for the City of Washington:

Housing Authority Board
Standards Hearing Officer

If you are interested in either of the positions, you may download a letter of interest from www.washingtonks.net/publicnotices.html, pick one up at City Hall, or request one via email at washems@washingtonks.net. Deadline for submission to City Hall or Mayor Ryan Kern is 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013.

Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY.
