Branch Street Project to begin May 1 in Seneca

Hall Brothers of Marysville put in the low bid for the Branch Street extension in Seneca, at a cost of just over $2 million for an asphalt surface roadway.

The bid was almost $27,000 below engineers estimates. The project will consist of extending Branch Street 1/2 mile from 11th Street to Community Drive. A connecting street to US Highway 36 with a left turn lane, plus acceleration and deceleration turn lanes. The work is scheduled to begin May 1, with completion around December 1.
