Plan to attend an upcoming program, Simple Home Modifications for Aging in Place. Discover simple modifications that can be made to your house or apartment so you can stay in it as you get older. Everyone wants to stay in their house as long as possible. This program will be taught on Wednesday, April 3 at the Washington County Extension Office Meeting Room, beginning at noon.
Small and large home modifications that can be done easily and cost effectively will be explored. Deanna Turner, River Valley District Extension Agent, will also discuss home devices that can be useful to this challenge. These modifications and devices can help a person age in place mentally, physically and financially.
