The deadline for applying for the current round of grants from the Washington County Community Foundation’s Opportunity Fund is rapidly approaching.
The Foundation will accept applications until next Thursday, March 28, 2013, for up to $3,032 in grants for charitable causes. The Foundation will consider applications from non-profit organizations, individuals, and groups of individuals. For-profit organizations will not be considered unless the request is for a charitable project. Grants will be limited to projects within Washington County.
Applications are available at your local post office, or online at www.washingtoncountycf.org .
This is the third year of grant making for the Foundation. It offers the grant program as part of its goal—to improve the quality of life of Washington County communities and residents.
Previous recipients of grants are the Barnes city park, the School of Therapeutic Riding, KSDS, RFD10, Hanover Senior Citizens, and the Washington city park.. For more information on previous recipients, visit the web site listed above.
The Washington County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Greater Salina Community Foundation in Salina, Kansas.
