A Frankfort man was arrested last Thursday by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Jeremiah D. Arnold, age 32, was also arrested for driving with a suspended license. He remains in custody.
Meanwhile, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run incident at the Pony Express Café and Service Station south of Hanover on Highway 36 that happened on February 16.
According to the report, an unknown vehicle struck a 2000 Chevrolet owned by John Diederich of Barnes, several times. The vehicle then left the scene. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000. Anyone with any information on the hit and run should contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
