Man pulled from grain bin Wednesday back at work Thursday

The man who was rescued from a grain bin at Valley View Milling, located north of Seneca, Wednesday afternoon, was back on the job Thursday already.

Mark Haverkamp, who is also chairman of Valley View Milling, wanted to thank all the responders who came to help rescue him.

The call came in about 12:40 Wednesday afternoon and he was brought out around 3:20 Wednesday afternoon, and life flighted to a hospital for treatment and released Wednesday night. Several emergency personnel responded to the scene, including Seneca and Bern Fire Departments, Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Highway Patrol, and Seneca EMS.
