Man Trapped in Grain Bin Successfully Removed, But with Injuries

Midday Wednesday Nemaha County officials received a call for assistance at Valley View Milling for a person trapped in a grain bin. Valley View Milling is approximately 8 miles north of Seneca. At approximately 3:20 Wednesday afternoon, the individual was successfully removed from the bin and taken by LifeStar for medical treatment. The name of the individual is not being released at this time. Seneca EMS, Bern and Seneca Fire Departements, Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Highway Patrol, and Kansas Department of Transportation, along with many other persons responded to the scene.
