One Person Killed in Accident Early Monday Morning

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Kansas Highway Patrol worked a one vehicle fatality accident early Monday morning about 1.5 miles west of Axtell on Indian Road.

Killed in the accident was Randall K. Holthaus of Seneca, age 60.

According to the report from Sheriff Dan Hargrave, Holthaus was eastbound on Indian Road, left the roadway, entering the south ditch and the car landed on its side. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.

Axtell Fire and Rescue also responded to the accident which occurred around 5:30 am Monday.
