RSVP honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. by collecting eyeglasses

The country celebrates Martin Luther King Day on January 21 this year.  RSVP will honor Dr. King throughout the month of January by collecting eyeglasses the entire month  for the Lions Club.

Donating used eye glasses, lenses or frames can change someone’s life. Please consider donating those glasses you are not using in your drawer so that someone else can enjoy sight once again.  You can drop them by the RSVP or call 785-562-2154 and we can let you know a drop-off in your area. If you are unable to get out, we’ll arrange for them to be picked up.

According to World Health Organization, 153 million people have

uncorrected vision.  Many sink farther into poverty because reading is

difficult, they can’t work to the best of their ability and they can’t see.  For children it means better education, for adults it means greater opportunity and for seniors it means less dependence on others.
