Slick Roads to Blame for One Vehicle Accident

There was a one vehicle accident on Highway K-99 just south of the Highway 36 Beattie Junction late Wednesday morning shortly after 11 am.

According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, 20 year old Kyla Paczkowski of Plattsmouth, NE was driving a 2006 Chevy passenger car when she lost control on the slick roadway, entered the east ditch and struck an embankment. Jared Castillo of Plattsmouth was a passenger. Both of them were taken to Community Memorial Healthcare with disabling injuries. Neither one of them were wearing their seatbelts.
