There’s going to be an Ag Profitablity Conference next Thursday, January 31, at the Blue Valley Telecommunications Lower Level Public Meeting Room in Home City. It will start at 9:30 am with registration and conclude by 2 pm. Speakers will be from the K-State Agricultural Economics Department, including Glen Tonsor speaking about the Beef and Cattle Economic Market Outlook, Troy Dumler with an update on the 2012 Farm Bill, Dan O’Brien will talk about the Grain Market Analysis and Outlook, and Art Barnaby will discuss Crop Insurance and the 2012 Drought. Registration fee is $10, or $15 at the door, and are due by Thursday, January 24. Fees will cover the cost of materials and lunch.
