Kansas Farmers Union Holding Workshop Saturday

Kansas Farmers Union will be hosting a Beginning Farming Workshop this Saturday, January 26 from 9-5 at Nelson’s Landing Restaurant in Leonardville.  There will be several different speakers talking about the financial aspect of farm transitioning, sustainable agriculture, farm to school program, and an attorney specializing in real estate and contract matters will be there as part of the class.  A large group of panelist will also share their stories of organic farming and grazing, growing and marketing wholesale and retail produce, produce growing, grazing, and high tunnel produce, among others.  The workshop registration and meal is free and open to the public.  For more information or to RSVP, call Nick at 785-527-0941.
