Influenza Cases High in the Area

Influenza cases continue to rise around the area, including the death of a 2 year old child in Lancaster County, NE. Officials say the flu has hit hard and seems to last longer than usual. It also hit earlier than normal. Proper precautions to be taken include, getting a flu shot, washing your hands, covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze, and stay at home if your ill. Signs that you may have the flu include, a fever of 100 degrees or more, muscle aches, fatigue, and severe cough. Getting plenty of rest and drinking lots of fluids to help flush out your system are the best ways to get rid of it quicker.
