Filing Deadline Quickly Approaching

Filing deadline for the April city and school election is coming up soon. If you want to file to run for city council or school board, you must have your application in by noon January 22nd. If a primary election is necessary, it will be held February 26th and the General Election would be April 2nd. Voter registration deadline for the primary election would be February 5th and March 12th would be the deadline for the General election. A rundown of the positions up for election will be in future newscasts.

Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995.
