The coldest air of the season will filter into the area late this weekend. Forecast lows for Sunday night are in the single digits with afternoon highs Sunday and Monday only around the freezing mark. There’s also a chance of rain, possibly mixed with snow, late Saturday night into early Sunday. Now is the time to prepare your home and vehicles for the cold weather, although it won’t hang around too long, it’s only two week until winter officially begins on December 21st at 5:12 a.m., which will be the earliest winter since 1896.
