No Major Problems Reported From Snow Storm

2-3 inches of snow was the general snow total around the area as the first winter storm of the season came thru Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Westar Energy reported scattered power outages and at one point they had about 13,000 customers without power for a time, generally around the Kansas City Metro area and extreme northeast Kansas.  Nemaha Marshall Rural Electric
reported no major power outages.  As for slide off’s and wrecks, in checking with the Marshall, Washington, Nemaha, and Gage County Sheriff’s offices, they all reported that it was very quiet and no major accidents had been reported.
