The River Valley Extension District will have a series of seminars, workshops, and schools to provide education on a wide variety of topics of interest to agricultural producers. The first program will be “Cost Saving Tips for Winter Cattle Feeding” coming up this Thursday, December 13th at the Linn American Legion. The program will start at 5:15 p.m. with registration. A dinner will be included, sponsored by United Farmers Cooperative and pre-registration is due today.
The K-State Winter Ranch Management Seminar is also coming up, Tuesday January 8th. Area producers can choose between Kansas State University in Manhattan and Astra Bank in Belleville. Topics will include Protection and Restoration of Forage and Range Resources, Heifer Development and Fetal Programming, and Tips and Tools to reach your management goals. The program will start at 4:30 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m., including dinner. Please RSVP to your local extension office by January 2nd.
