U.S. Representative Tim Heulskamp has lost his seat on the House Ag committee. A group of about 30 House Republican leaders met in private and they decided to take matters into their own hands and make an example of 4 conservatives who didn’t vote consistently with House Speaker John Boehner and his allies. If the decision stands, the U.S. House will open in January without a Kansas lawmaker on the agriculture committee for the first time in 150 years.
