Washington County School District Wins $10,000

The Washington County School District has selected as a $10,000 winner in the Monsanto Fund’s America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education.  This program gives farmers the opportunity to nominate their public school district to apply for a merit-based grant to enhance math and science education.  After a three-tier grant review process, Washington County was selected as one of ten winners in Kansas.  There will be a check presentation ceremony during a patriotic music program on Election Day at the Washington County High School.  The program begins at 7 p.m.
