The Marysville City Council extended the contract of City Administrator Rick Shain for one year at the City Council Meeting Monday night. The council also voted to repeal the closing of streets along the 7th Street corridor north of highway 36, from the northside of Carolina Street to the south side of Calhoun Street. The streets had been vacated since 1917 when the Union Pacific Railroad put down train tracks and a depot. Also on the agenda, the council appointed Richard Landoll, Don Bruna, and Jean Dummermuth to the Marysville Planning Commission and Dean Thomas and Bob Thompson to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
