Kyle Joekel, the man Gage County authorities searched for for a year after he led them on a high speed chase, that ended in Oketo, for making terroristic threats at a bar in Barneston and now under arrest in Louisiana for first degree murder charges of 2 Louisiana Sheriff’s deputies, which happened almost a year to the day of the events in Barneston and Oketo, pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted first degree murder. A second scheduled hearing will be held December 14th, although the cases may not go to trial until the end of next year. Joekel is being held without bond.
