Loading Zone or No Loading Zone

The discussion of a whether a loading zone would do more good or harm was discussed by the Beatrice City Council Monday night. The issue is whether or not to add the loading zone in the 1000 block of Court Street. One of the business owners brought it to the council in October after he was issued a citation in September for having a truck parked on Court Street. A traffic committee has studied the area and whether adding the zone would create potential traffic hazards. It was found that having the loading zone there would create some problems, mainly sight obstruction issues. No resolutions were made at the meeting, but it will likely be made at the December 3rd meeting.
