The Board of Marshall County Commissioners met in regular session with Thomas K. Holle Chairman; Charles R. Loiseau and Robert S. Connell members and Sonya L. Stohs, County Clerk present.
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
The Board opened the meeting with the flag salute.
The minutes and agenda were approved as presented upon a motion by Robert S. Connell seconded by Thomas K. Holle. Unanimous.
Agency on Aging Director Heather Ruhkamp met with the Board to discuss repairing a 2001 Chevy Venture van with 144,166 miles that needs a head gasket replacement for $1,534.82. The Board decided to not repair the van at this time.
County Appraiser Janet Duever met with the Board to inform them that Mandy Cook has given her notice and her last day will be November 21, 2012.
Public Works Administrator Mike Craig and Public Works Coordinating Supervisor Larry Polson met with the Board.
Victor L. Phillips salesman Nick Thomas and Clyde Adams, Sellers Equipment salesman Mark Johnson, Kan Equip, Inc. salesman Grant Meinhardt, and Foley Equipment salesman Joe Schmitlein met with the Board for the backhoe bid opening. The following bids were opened by Public Works Administrator Mike Craig to replace the 1996 Case 580L backhoe:

Public Works Administrator Mike recommended the purchase of the 2011 CAT 420E backhoe in the amount of 58,200.00 from Foley Equipment Co.
Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Charles R. Loiseau to approve the recommendation for the purchase of the 2011 CAT 420E backhoe in the amount of 58,200.00 from Foley Equipment Co. Unanimous.
Emergency Management Director William Schwindamann Jr. met with the Board to discuss the wiring of the new building west of town.
Charles R. Loiseau moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to approve the Neighborhood Revitalization application for Alex and Teresa Koch, Axtell, KS with the preconstruction pictures that were provided by the applicant. Unanimous.
Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Thomas K. Holle to approve the Home City Sewer bills and pay them from the appropriate funds available. Unanimous.
Charles R. Loiseau moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to approve the following purchase orders. Unanimous.
