University of Nebraska Extension and the Southeast Nebraska Cattlemen will hold a informational meeting focused on Drought Forage and Hay needs of Beef Cow Calf Operations in Southeast Nebraska. The program is free of charge to all interested farmers and will be held on Thursday, November 15 from 1:00 pm til 3:00 pm at the Nemaha NRD meeting room. The Nemaha NRD Office is ¾ mile east of the highway 50/136 junction on highway 136 at Tecumseh, Nebraska.
Presentations will include: local feed situation, crop implications of feed choices, cover crop/forage options and utilization of drought forages in cow/calf and background rations. Presenters include University of Nebraska Extension staff Dr Rick Rasby, Jessica Jones, Lindsay Chichester, Gary Lesoing, and Paul Hay.
Meeting focus is on safe & profitable use of available feed resources for beef cow calf operations.
