Careful of the Deer!!

It’s deer mating season as October to December sees a spike in the number of deer accidents.  Some tips to follow to try and avoid a deer accident include scanning the roadway and shoulders ahead of you.  Use high-beams if there’s no oncoming traffic, and if a collision is unavoidable, apply the breaks firmly and stay in your lane.  Swerving to avoid hitting a deer usually causes a more serious crash and could result in loosing control of your vehicle.  Be extra cautious at dawn and dusk when deer are more active, and always wear your seatbelt.
