Kansas Highway 16 in Pottawatomie County will be closed at various spots Tuesday through Thursday for culvert replacement work.
FULL ROADWAY CLOSURE:
- Eastbound and westbound K-16 will be closed to all traffic at varying locations for culvert replacement work on Tuesday-Thursday, November 6-8 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day.
- Tuesday, November 6: All lanes of K-16 will be closed at mile post 24.4 between the cities of Blaine and Wheaton.
- Wednesday, November 7: All lanes of K-16 will be closed at mile post 27.4 south of the city of Wheaton.
- Thursday, November 8: All lanes of K-16 will be closed at mile post 22.6 between the cities of Blaine and Wheaton.
Advance message boards will alert drivers to the roadway closure. No marked detours will be provided. Drivers should allow extra time for their commutes and must use alternate routes during the roadway closure. The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
