Special Meeting on Axtell Post Office Was Held Tuesday

There was a special meeting in Axtell Tuesday afternoon regarding the Axtell Post Office.  40-50 people attended the meeting, which was called because hours are being cut at the Axtell office.  Sherry Ronnebaum was at the meeting and said anytime there’s a cut in hours, a meeting has to be called.  It was announced that the projected hours would be 7:45 am to 11:45 am and would probably take effect in January 2013, but the hours are not set in stone.  Home City and Oketo will probably also have special meetings soon as they don’t have a postmaster, like Axtell.  They only target post offices that do not have a permanent post master.
