CMH Foundation Receives Toedter Memorial Gift

Marysville–CMH Foundation was recently named in the estate of Wallace and Caryl Toedter.

In late August the foundation received a check for $100,000 from Charles Wetzler and Richard Wetzler, Trustees of the Wallace W. Toedter Trust. This generous gift, designated as the Wallace and Caryl Toedter Memorial Fund, has been given to the foundation to use at its discretion.

“This is a remarkable gift for a newly formed foundation such as ours, said Pam Harrison, CMH Foundation Coordinator. “It allows us to immediately begin addressing the needs of the hospital. Although we have a new facility, not everything in it was purchased new. We did make many upgrades but also brought a lot of equipment with us to the new building.”

Technology in healthcare changes rapidly and the challenge to remain current is ever present. In order for healthcare facilities to compete in the industry and to provide patients with the highest level of care possible, it is imperative for hospitals to stay at the forefront.

“Mr. and Mrs. Toedter have always been strong advocates for Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) and recognized its importance to the community,” added Harrison. “It is not surprising that they would continue that support after they were gone. We are immensely grateful for the legacy they have left behind.”

CMH Foundation was created to serve as the fundraising arm for Community Memorial Healthcare. The foundation office is located in the South Plaza on the CMH campus.
