Marysville Chief of Police deployed to help with Hurricane Sandy.

MARYSVILLE CHIEF OF POLICE TODD ACKERMAN HAS BEEN DEPLOYED TO THE STATE OF MARYLAND IN ADVANCE OF HURRICANE SANDY TO HELP WITH PREPARATIONS BEFORE SANDY ARRIVES AND THEN WILL HELP OUT WHERE NEEDED AFTER SHE HAS MADE LANDFALL.  IN ALL, THERE WERE 7 PEOPLE DEPLOYED TO THE EAST COAST, 6 FROM NORTHEAST KANSAS AND 1 FROM NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS, TO HELP WITH HURRICANE SANDY.  ACKERMAN WILL BE DEPLOYED FOR 2 WEEKS AND WILL RETURN TO KANSAS ON NOVEMBER 12.

Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995. He graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1997, and joined the staff of KKAN/KQMA radio in Phillipsburg a year later. Since June of 2011 Kevin has been with us here at Your Country KNDY.
