Jefferson County Firefighters battled a grass fire Tuesday afternoon about 10 miles southeast of Fairbury that burned nearly 80 acres of prairie grass. The fire was caused by a Rotary Mower as it struck a rock or something that caused a spark. High winds added to the challenge of putting the fire out.
