House Fire Early Sunday In Marysville

The Marysville Fire Department responded to a house fire at 900 Carolina early Sunday morning. Crews were called out around 3 a.m. to the Lynn and Kandy Haverkamp home, located just west of the Marysville Elementary School.

First reports were that there were people trapped inside, however that was not the case. The Haverkamps and their children were out of town for the weekend.

Extensive damage was done upstairs and on the main floor, according to Fire Chief Dave Richardson.

Crews were on the scene for about 5 hours. The cause of the fire is unknown. It’s the second fire this year at this house.
