CMH South Plaza O pen House & Chamber Mixer Co ming September 19th
Marysville, KS – Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) will celebrate completion of its newly remodeled South Plaza by hosting an Open House and Marysville Chamber of Commerce Mixer on Wednesday, September 19th from 5-7 PM. The public is invited to come and tour the new facility, visit with hospital staff members about CMH programs and services located in the South Plaza building, attend the program at 5:30 PM and enjoy delicious refreshments.
You’ll be amazed at the South Plaza remodeling project, especially when you consider it originally housed patient rooms, a chapel, and emergency room (ER) in the old hospital. Both exterior and interior work of the South Plaza building was done to replicate the architectural design of the main hospital. The South Plaza houses occupational, physical and speech therapy services, sleep lab, dialysis clinic, offices, a spacious conference room, staff training room, and housing for students/staff.
Hospital staff who work in the South Plaza will be available that evening to “meet & greet” the public and answer questions. They include: Colette Ottens, Director of CMH Occupational Therapy; Jeff Crist and Dave Pieschl, owners of Crist & Pieschl Physical Therapy; Joan McKinley, Speech-Language Pathologist, owner of McKinley Speech Services; Cheryl Skinner, Director of CardioPulmonary Services and registered polysomnographer Roxanne Woodside, who performs and scores CMH sleep studies; Pam Harrison, Foundation Coordinator; Eric Swim, Corporate Compliance Officer; and Sarah Ramirez, CMH Information Technology (IT) staff member, under the supervision of Colleen Behrens, IT Director.
Dr. Fadi Bedros, Medical Director of Nephrology at Mercy Regional Health Center and owner of Flint Hills Dialysis, both in Manhattan, KS, will be in attendance that evening to host the dialysis clinic and serve as a program speaker. Dr. Bedros, referral specialist for CMH, will operate a six-station dialysis clinic, slated to be operational this fall.
