Seneca hosted the annual meeting of the National Pony Express Association last Friday and Saturday. Some 120 members from eight states, including Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and California were in attendance. Representatives from the National Park Service, which administers national historic trails were on hand. Ongoing efforts to promote the Pony Express were discussed, and include installation of additional consistent signage along the route. The convention was last held in Kansas in Marysville in 2004, and will be held in Utah next year.
