The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating more than $30,000 worth of stolen farm equipment, including a John Deere tractor.
Sheriff Greg Riat issue a news release Tuesday stating a 2009 John Deere 4520 tractor with front loader, black Bohnert 18-foot flatbed trailer and grass seeder was stolen from the Manhattan area.
The victim reported the items were at 701 Enoch Lane, a Manhattan address. The victim saw the equipment at 1 p.m. Sunday and then noted them as missing Monday.
According to the news release the monetary loss from the theft exceeds $30,000. The sheriff said evidence at the scene indicates a vehicle hooked up to the trailer and then may have traveled on US-24 highway.
