Deadline Approaching for Wymore Water Project

The Wymore Rural Water Project will begin construction soon.  Landowners in the area have until Sept. 28^th to become part of the project at a current hookup fee of $1,100.  After Sept. 28, the hookup fee will increase to $5,000.  170 of the area residents have signed up for the project.  The Lower Big Blue NRD is sponsoring the $3.2 million project and it has been approved for a grant and loan through USDA Rural Development.  Construction is scheduled to be completed in April 2013.  Call the Lower Big Blue NRD for sign-up forms or for more information at 402-228-3402.  There is no guarantee that hookups can be made later to the system.  System capacity will be kept to a minimum to reduce costs to the already existing users.  The hookup fee will be much higher if there is capacity for more users.
