Search in Progress for Missing Fairbury Man

Jefferson County law enforcement is asking for help searching for an elderly rural Fairbury man who went missing Tuesday morning.

According to a press release by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, John W. Snyder was last seen at his home at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Snyder is described as an 81-year-old white male approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall weighing 140 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. He was driving a 2012 Ford F-150 crew cab gray truck with Nebraska farm plates 33-46.

The press release states he may be confused and disoriented.
