The Marshall County Development Corporation (MCDC) will sponsor a workshop Tour Season Ready on Tuesday, September 18th in Marysville at Toledo’s Coffee & Deli at 6:00 p.m.
Tour Season Ready is a fun, fast paced program that will give a behind the scenes look at what makes attractions and businesses tourist & tour group friendly.
Guest speaker will be Tammy Britt of Cloud County Convention & Tourism. As co-director of Cloud County Convention & Tourism, organizing and leading fifty or more organized tours and assisting with seven or more events each year is part of Tammy’s job. Tammy is an alumnus of Cloud County Community College and Friends University, graduating with a BS in Organizational Management. Most recently she has worked as a Regional Director/Trainer for Belmont Management Inc., and as a Regional Director/Sales Rep for Lifetouch Photography. Currently Tammy serves as president of the North Central Kansas Tourism Council, Marketing Director for TourKS (Kansas Motorcoach Marketing Alliance), and as the North Central Representative on TIAK (Travel Industry Association of Kansas).
Those in charge of museums, attractions, convenience stores, motels, B&B, and restaurants and businesses are invited to attend. The workshop and supper is free, but advance reservations are required by calling 562-3101. Deadline to register is September 11th at 5:00 p.m.
