Deadline Fast Approaching for Poster Contest

September 14th is the deadline for kids ages 5-13 to enter artwork for a statewide poster contest that focuses on Put the Breaks on Fatalities Day in Kansas.

Three Statewide winners will receive family packages from the Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure and the Courtyard by Marriot in Salina along with $50 gas cards from QuikTrip. 18 regional winners will receive a bicycle and helmet courtesy of Safe Kids Kansas.

Sierra and Reagan de Koning of Axtell were among the winners last year.

Kevin Rippe was born in Marysville and moved to Smith Center at the age of 1, then graduated from Smith Center High School in 1995.
