| On 072312 on Cloud Street just north of Parallel Street in Clifton Logan Newell, Clifton driving a 1990 Ford turned the corner when the brakes on the vehicle failed causing Newell to collide with ice machine pushing it into Danny’s Service Station. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.
On 072712 on 5th Street just west of B Street in Washington, Marjorie Nutsch, Washington driving a 2000 Ford was backing from her driveway when she accelerated backwards and struck a pedestrian, Iris Gould of Washington before striking a tree. Gould was taken by Washington EMS to Washington County hospital and later flown by Life star to Bryan LGH. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00.
On 072812 on Gypsum Road 1/4 mile north of 27th Road, Tyler Snyder, Beatrice Nebraska driving a 2009 Dodge struck a cow owned by Leonard Bartles, Mahaska. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.
On 080112 on 3rd Road just east of Osage Road, Keri Rogge, Palmer driving a 2007 Mercury struck cow in roadway owned by Steven Meier, Palmer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.
On 080212 the Hanover Fire Department was dispatched to 2382 19th Road for a hay bales on fire.
On 080312 an officer was dispatched to 1745 Prospect Boulevard, Washington for the report of Criminal Damage to Property. Investigation is pending.
On 080412 Michael Hasenkamp, Washington served 48 hours in the Washington County Jail for a Probation Violation.
On 080612 the Kansas Highway Patrol on US 36 at MM 270 Zachary Moore, Clearlake California was arrested on pending charges of Driving While Suspended. Moore was held at the Washington County Jail until his release on bond. A report will be forwarded to the county attorney.
