The Marysville City Council held a special meeting Monday night and discussed in length the new pool. Kevin Maclalay presented pool layouts. The council then discussed options on paying for the pool and it was decided to increase the sales tax by .6% and to put a sunset clause on the ordinance. This will be put on the November ballots to be voted on by the citizens. There was also discussion on starting a Public Building Commission, however nothing was decided. The meeting lasted just over 2 hours. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be August 13th.
