A 13-year-old Oklahoma boy was killed in a single-vehicle accident on U.S. 75 Highway in Nemaha County early Saturday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at approximately 6:30 in the morning just south of the Nebraska-Kansas State Line.
The initial report states 39-year-old Nicki Isaac of Hydro, Oklahoma was traveling north on U-S 75 when her Chevy Tahoe entered the southbound lanes. She apparently over corrected and the vehicle went across the northbound lanes overturning several times. The vehicle came to rest on its roof in a field. and she began over correcting.
A passenger, 13-year-old Taylor Isaac, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Nicki Isaac, was flown to the K-U Medical Center in Kansas City. Two other passengers in her vehicle, 14-year-old Jacob Isaac and 10-year-old Mackenize Isaac, were taken to the Sabetha Community Hospital with possible injuries.
