Two people were injured on Saturday morning in a two vehicle accident. At approximately 11:30 in the morning Rescue Units responded to a 2 vehicle injury accident at E. Hwy 136 and Main St. in Filley, NE.
Linda Hager age 65 of Crab Orchard, NE was traveling east bound in a small pickup on E. Hwy 136, at approximately Main St. in Filley, NE. Fred Werman, age 90 of Tecumseh, NE, was west bound on Hwy 136 and turned south at Main St. striking Hager in the front of the vehicle.
Werman was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital, then to Bryan LGH West for life threatening injuries. Hager was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries by a private party. Seat belts were worn by Hager and her airbags were deployed. Werman was cited for failure to yield right of way and no occupant protection in use.
